This cross is inspired by St. Shoushan-Vardeni, who was an Armenian noblewoman and the daughter of St. Vardan. When she became the princess of Georgia, her husband requested that she abandon her Christian faith. She refused, which led to her imprisonment and martyrdom.
Her name also means “lily” in Armenian, and as such, each of the arms of this cross are stylized lilies. The cross also bears many Bohemian crystals in Topaz, and the enamel accents compliment the gold finish. This piece is suspended from a tightly weaved rope chain.
