PRIMAVERA

   Sandro Botticelli was an Italian painter of the early Renaissance. The Primavera (Spring) is one of his best known works and has great significance in Western art history. 

   The figures are portrayed with such idealistic beauty and elegance, and the painting has an air of mystery as well. Botticelli gives special attention to the several hundred aromatic flowers in the painting. Around 200 of them are identifiable, and one can say that Botticelli masterfully captured the scents of Tuscany in the springtime.

   The sheer beauty of Botticelli's flowers was the inspiration for our very first floral jewelry collection: Primavera. These pieces are gold plated and enameled, and each flower and bud is hand painted with translucent enamel in blush rose and aubergine. The beautifully sculpted petals are accented with Bohemian crystals in light rose and light amethyst.
